The COB9 series it's a DIY platform and high performance LED lighting suspended system used in scientific research, designed to irradiate space up to 140x140cm, built entirely in anodized aluminum/magnesium, customizable and upgradeable by the user, with adjustable power, active cooling and predisposition for development projects based on Arduino and other Open Source platforms. The Chip-On-Board used are highest quality with specific BIN, selected for radiometric and photometric quality and power, individually mounted on adapters without welding, without lenses, shielding or secondary reflectors. Many different types of high quality power supply can be installed on dedicated predispositions for many configuration with fixed or dimmable power. The performance and characteristics of COB9 can not be comparable to a commercial product built in series.
Active cooling for each COB with dedicated power supplies, high pressure adjustable fans with switch in three positions. High efficiency anodized aluminum CNC machined heatsink, planarized, grinded and polished with controlled roughness. The system is designed and calculated to be used in controlled environments for uniformly irradiate a surface up to 140cmX140cm with unique performance and spectrum.
The configurations can vary in the type of COB installed and in the required powers. COB9 has been studied and simulated to handle high powers, with selected components and high quality materials, able to maintain low temperatures and high performance prolonged in time. The system will be updated in the future by the user, with more and more efficient high performance components and parts, suitable for the specific application, when available by individual producers and compatible/adaptable to the system.
